Richard Harris was an Irish actor, singer, and songwriter who had an illustrious career spanning several decades. He played the role of Marcus Aurelius, the Roman Emperor, in the movie Gladiator, which was released in 2000. In the movie, Harris played the father of Commodus, the main antagonist, played by Joaquin Phoenix.
Harris was known for his deep, distinctive voice and his powerful on-screen presence. He starred in numerous movies throughout his career, including The Guns of Navarone, A Man Called Horse, Camelot, and Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone.
